Welcome, and thank you for joining us at the beginning of this journey.
Belle Inn & Studios is currently in the early startup phase as we work to secure our future home in Durant, Iowa. While our doors are not yet open, our vision is already taking shape—and we're excited to share it with you.
Belle Inn was inspired by my grandmother, Belle, whose home was a place of warmth, comfort, good food, and unconditional welcome. It is also inspired by my own experiences navigating life with a traumatic brain injury, visual processing challenges, PTSD, anxiety, and the realities of traveling while managing invisible disabilities.
Over the years, I've learned that comfort is about much more than a comfortable mattress or a beautiful room.
It's about feeling safe.
It's about being able to sleep.
It's about navigating a space without confusion or overwhelm.
It's about having a quiet place to rest after a medical appointment, support a loved one, recover from burnout, or simply catch your breath.
Belle Inn & Studios is being created for people who value those things.
Our vision is a restorative lodging destination offering private studios, thoughtful accessibility, sensory-considerate design, welcoming community spaces, and a hospitality experience guided by The Quiet Comfort Standard™.
As we move through the property acquisition process, we'll be sharing our plans, design ideas, research, progress updates, and the story behind Belle Inn.
